Intense? Intimate?

Intensity can feel convincing.

But intensity does not
always mean closeness.

Often, it's the nervous system activated,
not intimacy deepening.

Intimacy is usually quieter than expected.

Less fireworks.
More presence.

Less urgency.
More steadiness.

This can feel unfamiliar if you were taught
that love should feel dramatic,
consuming,
overwhelming.

Around intensity,
the body responds.

It may expand.
Or it may brace.

Around quiet connection,
the body responds.

It may relax.
Or it may get restless.

Neither is wrong.
But they are different experiences.

Intensity stimulates.
Intimacy settles.

Seeing the difference

is enough.

Clarity comes
when the body is allowed
to speak first.
